Leaf spring install
Just received a new 7 leaf spring for my 69. I noticed that the top head of the bolt that holds the spring together is taller then the original. When I install the spring the spring does not sit flush on the rearend housing. Is that normal???? Please help

The center bolt should NOT bottom out in the hold in the rear end, just file the top of it down.
Also just snug up the 4 bolts under the rear end and do the final torque after each end bolt is installed and you have weight on the wheels.
