I just finished with new Vansteel complete trailer arm package for my 69. New 7 leaf spring same as what car had new struts and all new hardware. Car now sits at 28.5 on drivers side & 29.5 on pass. side. Now I know the car needs to be driven awhile and rear alignment but I don't think it will change the road height on both to about 28. Am I wrong. Please help????

Did you check wheel arch height on fronts as well? Could be weak L/F spring? Do you have a rear sway bar? Could also be unequal tension on one end of sway bar. From this end all I can do is guess from a long list of possibles.

Is the front end equal both sides? If so, you can adjust the rear spring tension side to side with the end bolts.

You need to simply loosen the rear spring retaining bracket and shift the spring's location a little from one side towards the other. This will correct the "lean" with only a little shifting of the spring. It will sometimes take a couple of tries before you hit the sweet spot.

Loosen the retaining bracket but spring still stays in the hole in the rear right . Your talking a very small amount one way or the other.

No sway bar, front end is the same on each side. I will adjust leaf spring nuts accordingly but I don't think the car will drop that much. Then I will try Lars suggestion of moving leaf, Body mounts#4 are good. Never checked #3. Looks like I have some testing and work in front of me. Thanks everyone. I'll get back.
