Default temp sending unit selection

Ive read through many posts on here about temp sending units and how none of the new ones are calibrated correctly. I read Willcox was testing a whole bunch of them, Roger ran some tests and that ZIP used to advertise theirs are accurate...... but the question still remains.... are there any that are accurate out the box?

According to Roger's tests the cheapest sender from Advance was the most accurate. Willcox mentioned they are working on an adjustable sender but i haven't seen anything on that for a while.

I had to use two of the Zip senders and a new gauge before getting a combination that worked properly. The first sender was defective, and I probably didn't need to change the gauge, but Zip was very cooperative in replacing the parts.

Senders seem to be the problem.
