Default 1980 Corvette door locks

How do you get access to change the door locks and door handles on a 80 Vette?

Remove the door inner panel...remove the access panel. Remove the black plastic water shield. Then it is removing clips that hold the rods and the clip that holds the lock cylinder to the door. The "E" clip on the backside of the lock cylinder so you can CAREFULLY remove the wiring for your alarm system, MAKE SURE THE PLASTIC INSERT IN THE ALARM WIRING IS STILL THERE> If you lose it or break it or it stays stuck on the backside of the lock cylinder...be careful removing it and re-installing it.

Take the door panel off.

How specific of instructions are you looking for?

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) helps. You're going to want the AIM for more than door locks. Order one.
