I bought the heads bare so I could assemble them with quality valvetrain parts and have a local cylinder head shop do the machine work. I thought I'd save some $$ and get a decent head.
Heads 380
Valves, springs, ect 350
Valve job, fit valves to guides clean up bowls. 400
1130 total..and the heads would still not be as good most heads out of the box.
China can't even make good copies!

You got it. For the price difference you get a quality, made in USA, head that is CNC ported, fast burn chamber design, Lightweight valvetrain components, correct fit and finish, best flow numbers in the business and I have never heard of a failure or having to send a set back for any reason. The Brodix IK series or Dart SHP are as cast, lower flow and about $300 cheaper. Spend the $300. It is the best spent money you will part with long term.

That's what I just did! Believe me...I went through three sets of heads and quality control left much to the imagination (although the best set out of the bunch came from Straub). My AFR's get here Friday - I hope they are what everyone builds them up to be and more.
