Im restoring a 72 andIi am trying to decide what size tire to run
I am putting on B F Goodrich radial TA's and I am not sure which will fit better 225 60 15 or 235 60 15
235R60-15's....unless your car sits "high" in the back and you don't want to go about lowering it.
The original tires were F70-15's, which is nearly equivalent to the 215R70-15 size for a radial tire. The 235R60's are about the same diameter size, so you don't have to go changing any speedo gears to make the speedo more accurate. And, 235's will ALWAYS clear the front fenders when doing full turns...not true with larger width radial tires. They will fit, they will look good, and they will perform decently (T/A's are not the best tire for 'maneuvers'; but how many do you NEED to make on most local streets?).
