Finished up with the final install of my 200R4, purchased a B&M lockup controller, it works great, have it set to lockup at 50 mph. Mounted on driver side kickpanel. Also replaced the shifter lens with a 82 C3 type, so far everything is working good. just have to remove the temporary fluid filter after about 50 more miles.... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...tall-pics.html

Cool deal, hope to get my TKO600 next month some time
I've got the same set up on my 700R4 in my 64. I've found that the best spot for the lockup is around 70. I use it only for cruising. I had too much in and out of lock-up mode for spirited driving.
Just put a simple toggle switch in the power line going to the lockup controller. Then you can turn it off if you don't want it to cycle. The lockup clutch can improve your fuel mileage by about 10%, if you use it regularly.

Include a $30 adjustable vacuum operated electric (on/off) switch added into the wiring, and you've got a transmission with passing gear capability when the accelerator is pressed aggressively--- without having to manually toggle-off the lock-out solenoid in the transmission...
it takes about 20 minutes to install/T-in an extra vacuum line/snip the power wire from the manual toggle switch/add in the vacuum switch under the dash where it is easily reached for fine-tuning(you set the vacuum switch for your driving style)!
I have an 700R4 with the 3rd gear lock-out pressure switch in the valve body along with the 4th gear lock-out feature....I can drive in town in 3rd with the llock-out enabled.....great for getting around slower drivers because the vacuum switch automatically turns off the lock-out feature when the gas pedal is pressed aggressively.
You have a combination of shifting choices for the style of driving that you need at the moment: 1st/2nd/3rd/3rd Lockout-Passing capability/4th/4th Lockout-Passing capability......
or.....1st/2nd/3rd/3rd Lockout-Passing capability in town.....
or.....1st/2nd/3rd/4th---Lockout toggled OFF for winding roads/hills/mountain driving)
