I am helping a friend sell his 350 engine out of his 70 LT-1.
I tuned this engine for him before we pulled it from his car.
This engine was built after his car’s build date so he purchased a complete rebuilt 350 with the correct date.
3900710 Flint block, F200
3927186 heads, F190 & F220
Roller rockers
Six quart pan
Large balancer
Solid cam
Over 200# compression on all cylinders
This engine ran excellent before we removed it for his car. There was no blue smoke of overheating problems.
For someone with a 70 Lt-1 built close to the same date as the engine stamp it would likely be worth a fair amount. For the rest of the C3's it just wouldn't have a lot of value. If I were him I would crate it so if he ever decides to sell he could also provide the original engine.
Hi Joe,
I don't quite understand..... does the identification stamp suffix indicate it was assembled as an LT-! engine, or did it just end up in your friends LT-!?
Does it have a serial number derivative stamped on the pad?
Merry Christmas!
Regards,
Alan
