Default Distributor Electrical Connector

I found another electrical connector not connected on my 1982 Corvette. As before the car ran fine all summer.

The connector is coming out the distributor (see pic). I could not find this in the service or assembly manual.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Jack

This connector is NOT used. It is so a mechanic can install a tool to read your RPM's when doing a tune-up...if he/she chooses to do so.

DO NOT worry about it. It is supposed to look like that.
