First off, I want to apologize because I mentioned this in a previous post but received no response so I thought posting another would retrieve a quicker response.
I'm installing the seals in my doors and cannot figure out how they go in. It is a 81 model and the PO tore the car down so I dont know how some things go back together.
The seal with the studs is a no brainer but there is a second seal that i believe is called the lower inner side window seal that I have no idea where it goes. I saw one pic that showed it goes behind the seal with the studs but that doesnt make any sense. Also, short of drilling new holes and installing more screws through the strip, how do you get the outside strip to lay flat against the door frame?
I'm trying to get these buttoned up today if possible while the weather is decent.
Well, after reading about 45 posts on window seals I finally found one that mentions the other seal. Its the one that attaches to the door panel. The panels are new and already have one installed on it so it looks like I get to miss the fun of attaching that one. The outer one so far has been a real PITA. nothing lined up so had to waller holes out and added a few extra screws to secure. As mentioned in a previous post, 30 minutes my ***. ha
