I am a small block guy. My dream engine is a 427 with 8 stack Inglese EFI. It has a Brodix A-356 Aluminum block, 350 mains, Splayed 4 bolt billet steel main caps, with raised cam. Sonny Bryant 4" stroke lightweight billet crank, Oliver rods and Mahle low expansion forged pistons, It has AFR 227 Heads with Jesel shaft rockers, It is running 12 to 1 compression and a solid roller, puts out over 700 HP runs on on pump gas and has an 8000 RPM redline with peak HP @ 7500. Revs fast and weighs about #300. It would be in my 63 in front of my Chevy Viper T56 6 speed and Tom's 12 bolt 4.11.

BBC 532 with Brodix SR20 heads, set up for pump gas and designed to spin above 7500rpm. Should make the torque low enough for a T56 but make near 1000hp. 4" stroke by 4.6" bore.
+1 for the SBC club I had my ZL-1 dreams and carted around a block for years...but every time I did the math it was clear that I just couldn't make it happen. That's about the time my last '69 went on the truck
Engine Masters highlighted a build a few years ago of an all-aluminum 350 making over 700 HP. I did something a little less wild that would be my dream-build. I don't have all the parts laid out, but I'd stick with 350 CID and shoot for around 600 HP at the crank.
Like to hear your build plans for that one Billa
love high winding small blocks my last 350 should have crested the 550 mark or close there was just too much wrong with a few things. Once torn down just put a bigger crank in it.
Those are sweet. Think he uses 4340 forged Eagle rotators on a lot of his builds which is the only real downside but if they measure and spec good it is not a big deal.
Kinda like eating a Lays potato chip: you can't have just one.
All of my experience has been with Gen 1 SBC and I've been itchin' to lay hands on a BBC package to put in my C3.
The AX racer in me says stick with the small block and go turbo. The illegal street racer in me says Big Inches, Baby.
To answer AGVI's question here, I'd go with that 775 horse Shafiroff motor. I've been one of his fans for decades and would love to show off one his engines when I raise the hood.
