The connector to the 4 pin side of the ignition control module had a piece broken off on the top corner. Where in the world do I find a replacement for that? Guess would have to splice in the new connector to the existing wiring, assuming I could find one.

I have darn near run out of all the spares that I have acquired from old distributors and the wiring harness that GM offered to fix this issue. I know they are out there because rebuilt distributors that have new connectors in them. Old connectors are also brittle due to age and the heat inside the distributor. The terminals can be removed without having to cut wires with the correct tools to release the pin that hold in the terminal.
Boy.. We've been sorting connectors for the last two weeks putting them up on the site.. but this is a very slow process and I've only done a few 4 cavity connectors. If it is a Pack Con type connector you can remove the wires and terminals from the connector without issue. The Pack Con connectors have a door on them you open and then you have to compress the terminal to remove.
I don't remember what this one looks like.. is there a way you can picture up what is left of it. I'll check and see if I have one.

I'll see if I can look it up tomorrow anyway..
Only room in the house that can eat more money than a corvette... A kitchen... and if momma's not happy.. we'll you know the rest of that story.

OH HECK YEAH....Those terminals is solid GOLD sitting there. I have about 3 trash cans full of old and new style harnesses, and connector ends...and to me they are priceless....especially when I need a specific connector that I normally can not buy.
Larry- I'm sorry, that was a picture I had on file..
I don't know if I have one or not... and I'm thinking not though...
New was recently discontinued.. I have the part number at my office if I don't have a used one I'll get you the part number. But... this harness only fit 80-82 corvettes, but it also fit a slew of passenger cars too. So you might be able to pick one up at the local yard too.
Larry82: if you do not need to keep "original" then you could always just replace both sides of the connector with a new 4 pin weather pak style connector. Just remove the terminals from the original connector bodies or shells, then remove the terminals from the wire ends, replace with new terminals, install into new connector shells.
Also be careful if replacing one side of this connector; when I replaced the distributor in my '81 I found that the connector of the new distributor had different "keying" and therefore would not mate with the original half. Everything else was exactly the same except for the "keying".
Larry.. I have a connector that will work.. it's not correct (at least I don't think it is). But email me your address and I'll have them send it out to you today.

Yeah.. I got it Larry.. but not in time to ship. I'm going to pull out he terminals on this connector and put some good ones in it.. Then ship it to you on Monday.
Thanks to Willcox for generously providing a connector but it turns out I needed the full wiring harness. Searched internet everywhere for the necessary looms. One that connects to the coil and part of the ignition module and one that connects to the computer and the rest of the ignition module. No where to be found. Then, suddenly, in a burst of clear thinking I realized Performance Distributors makes replacement, drop-in distributors. Why not give them a call. Of course, they had the parts and will have both when I get home for a cost of about $60. Brand new. Can't beat that. Just needed to step back and think.
