Parking Brake Help
I decided to fix my squeaky parking brake over the weekend. I read the articles on corvettefaq and thought the rivets were going to be the hard part. It took me 15 minutes to drill out the rivets and after 48hr of soaking with rust remover I still can get the rotor free of the hub. I can't get the rotor to even wiggle. The wheel spins freely and I knocked a lot of brake dust out which seems to have quieted the squeak. I want to rebuild my parking brakes this winter, is there any trick to getting the rotor free??
