Ebrake handle removal
Is it possible to remove the e-brake handle on a 71 Vette? I found several threads on this subject but they take off on a tangent.
I just want to replace the black and chrome "pistol grip" on the e-brake but don't see any set screws or pins.

Hi Kevin,
If your speaking of the entire plastic and chrome plated part….the handle is held in place in the ratchet mechanism with a pin that must be driven out and then replaced.

Thanks Allen, So I guess the lever can only be replaced as a unit? That would be the chrome metal arm and black plastic grip?
It seems that the plastic grip would have to be able to be removed as it was manufactured in separate pieces.
