What is your opinion of installing the intake manifold with the Carb already attached to it?
Do you think that the extra weight of the carb will push out the sealant too much on the ends of the block?
The weight of the carb is not an issue. With the carb attached, however, you will find it difficult to get a torque wrench on the middle bolts of the manifold.
Install the carb later.
Did it a hundred times like that.

I agree , did hundreds of them over the last 40 Years. Never disassembled any more than what was necessary to do the job. Small block Chevys in a Corvette are cake , try doing a Ford FE bigblock in a F150 or a Galaxy . That will make Your ***** drop out of Your pants leg.
