I measured the cruise timing today which is the total of initial timing, vacuum advance and the centrifugal advance. Mark to shoot for is 52 degrees and I'm spot on.
I don't think so. According to Lars, you want a combined actual timing at idle of about 30 degrees (initial plus vac. adv.).

Those numbers look just fine. The 36-degree target is total centrifugal advance plus initial - not total combined timing at idle. Your idle timing with vacuum at 32 is right on the mark; your initial timing looks good; and total combined timing at 52 is right on the mark, so your timing is no longer an issue - your total timing is likely right in the ballpark.

Now richen up that carb and you'll be in good shape.
