What I was trying to say is:
I'm not a machinist, but I did already know damn well the block manufacturer NEVER made a splayed main cap small block.
Four cap bolt holes are drilled into a block (4-Bolt Main).
Two cap bolt holes are drilled into a block (2-Bolt Main).
I thought an aforementioned statement was that drilling 2 more holes in a 2-bolt main case would weaken it.
That's all.

i was commenting on the installation of the splayed style of 4 bolt caps, where you take a 2 bolt block and instead of drilling the holes parallel to the original holes you drill them at an angle. it is believed by many to be superior , and i don't dispute the point. i was merely pointing out an alternative viewpoint. . i was not implying anything about anyones knowledge etc. when you drill into another area of the block that is supposed to be stronger is it not possible to weaken it at the same time?
