I tried to open the hood and ghe #$@$# cable broke. The drives side is open but the passenger side is locked. I tried a metal rod threw the hole at bottom of windshied butnothing works. My idea was to cut a hole in the wheel well and try to unlock the hood that way. What do you think? Is there another way to unlock the passenger side of the hood? Thanks.
Based on the video you provided, it looks like the opening on the right side of the engine bay is larger than the left side. This could be causing the hood to pop up on that side. It's possible that the latch or cable is not aligned correctly or could be damaged, so disconnecting the cable to check is a good idea.
Another thing you could try is adjusting the latch or hinges on the hood to make sure it's properly aligned with the body of the car. It's also worth checking if there are any loose bolts or screws that could be causing the problem.
If you're not comfortable doing these adjustments yourself, it's always a good idea to take it to a professional mechanic or body shop to make sure it's done correctly and safely.
