On my 79 there is no buzzer that goes off when the headlights are on and the ignition is off ,I would like to put a relay in that would shut all power to lights off when ignition is off , seems that there is not 1 hot wire to headlight switch to make this possible ,Im sure someone smarter than me has done this ,any help with this
i would think if you locate the main power for the lights and changed it to switched power that may work, you may need to run it through a relay.i don't think id do it.
Yes it is do-able...but I am concerned about your skill level...and actually how much time you are willing to put into this...instead of just being able to just look and see that your lights are on when you walk away form you Corvette.
To do this CORRECTLY and SAFELY (soldering and heat shrink tubing) it is going to be involved...to "say" the least....and I know I would have a few hours into it easily...and I work on Corvettes for a living.
There's a buzzer but everyone unplugs it and throws it out the window when it starts going off on its own. It plugs directly to the fuse box and is usually hung off to the side.
