I just got my bilstiens on.big improvement over the sensetracs. The car feels more planted, but with the Monroe's being worn out and all. There definitely firmer, but it's a sporty firmness not a harsh firmness, so the ride nice.
I used the KYB's because that are valved for the fiberglass spring I put on the car as well. made for a real nice ride. no more feeling like a boat floating on the water.. Price was good too.
I went from sensatrac to Koni adjustable shocks. They're a little bit more than the bilstiens but you can adjust the rebound to your liking with a wide range. No clicks or numbers, you just turn it from max to low or anywhere in between

Great! Which Bilsteins did you put on HD or Sport?
Not sure where folks get the impression that Bilstein reviews are mixed in one of the posts above but Bilsteins are head and shoulders above mass market shocks like Delcos, KYB Gr-2's, and Monroe Sensatrac. The latter shocks will all give a nice ride initially but they will not hold up over thousands of miles. My POLICE Sensatracs on my grand prix are all ready softer than they were brand new-10,000 miles ago. The GR-2's are NOT a performance shock per say but valved more to the comfortable ride aspect. If you want a sport shock than Bilsteins, Koni's, and QA-1 are the way to go. The beauty of Bilsteins are that they do give a very reasonable ride AND offer performance when needed-that's why they cost more than mass market shocks AND they will last forever. I put 6 Bilsteins HD's (2 front 4 rear) on my 94 Mustang GT which had a buck board ride with the ford factory shocks and the Bilsteins are still firm BUT the ride is no longer choppy. Same effect on my 2008 Chrysler 300 (2 struts in front and 2 shocks in the rear)-Ride was mushy before the Bilstein HD's but firm and SOLID now with the Bilsteins-all float is gone-love them.
Hope that helps!
