there are multiple actuators for the doors, there is one door for the heat/cool door that is cable driven, there is an actuator for the defrost/ac/heat door that is up behind the glove box, there is a door for the "fresh air" that is down behind the passenger kick panel, there is a door up in the passenger side fender (next to wipers).
the vacuum source comes off the manifold between the carb and dist.
