I have a 74 coupe that I am trying to get back together.
the plug that goes on the compressor clutch has a green wire that goes to the pressure switch plug. the other side of the pressure switch plug has the wire missing. there is a tan wire about 14 ga. that is
dangling out of the harness over near the evaporator box. could that be the wire that I am looking for?
I have a wiring diagram that I bought and had each sheet blown up to poster size. but It does not cover the ac. (can you believe it?)
if someone can look at their ac setup and check it out I would appreciate it. thanks in advance, tony
According to my 74 corvette a/c wiring diagram the two wires on the clutch are the dk. green one and a black one, the black one goes to ground. The only tan wire I see in the diagram goes to the discharge pressure switch and is in the same connector that the dk. green comes from before going to the compressor clutch.
BTW, my info comes from mitchell on demand vintage and sometimes thier info is suspect.
