Car covers usually come with a small patch to re-enforce a hole you can cut to put your antenna through.....no need to remove it. If, however, you want to remove the antenna, you get to it by removing the muffler first.

Loosen the top nut. Unscrew the antenna mast. Retighten the nut. Put your cover on.
At that point, mark the location for the hole if you want to slit the cover and iron on the reinforcements.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure just the nut needs to be unscrewed, then the mast pulls straight up.
Regards,

You are correct. I was thinking of entire antenna removal, including cable.

I've seen magicians levitate pretty girls, but I've never seen an antenna mast levitate!

Hi jnb,
I think there's almost always a hidden wire of some sort!
