Default Bent Lower A-Arm Shaft

I noticed 2/3'rds of my passenger lower a-arm shaft on the makes contact with the frame, but the one end with two bolts is bent down towards the ground. This leaves a slight gap between the two bolts and the frame. Is this safe to drive this way? Would it be better to flip it and have the ends contact the frame, but not the middle? Thanks in advance for the help!

Take it out and straighten it. I did mine on a cheap hyd press from harbor freight. With it bent you will have a hard time getting the geometry right and with it in there like is you run a risk of the bolts working loose.

Hi J,
The cross shaft on the lower a-arm has a top and bottom…. it only goes on one way.
I can't tell from your picture if your's is 'right-side up' or not.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks, Six. Definitely don't want the bolts working themselves loose.

Thanks, Alan. Now you have me wondering on orientation - I am not sure either. I will have to take a closer look. I dont remember them having any patterns/markings distinguishing the two sides, though. Time to go back through some photos!

with Alan, I recently found one like this and flipped it over, probably had been that way for years.
