Default T Top question

Replacing the weatherstrip in my 68 coupe T tops. Question may be an odd one but here goes-Over the years they may have started to come apart or rust leaving residue inside that you can hear when you shake the tops- nothing major but annoying has anyone had this happen to them? Any ideas on how to remove short of drilling a hole on side big enough to shake them out? Thanks for any help

Hi PN,
This noise situation occurs when the panel is restored too.
In order to remove the ss side trim the pop rivets used originally to attach it must be drilled out so the remains fall into the top.
Many people VERY CAREFULLY drill a hole large enough to 'shake' the debris out and place it so the interior trim panel hides the hole.
Regards,
Alan

Here's where I drilled.
