77 turn signal
I'm trying to break down the column to get at the turn switch .
I think the ignition switch is holding in the steering cover . How do I remove or release the ignition barrel ?
Also does anyone know where I will find one of these dreaded '77 turn switches .
Thanks , Maurice .
It seems loose but won't release .
All fixing removed
I have the switch here: http://willcoxcorvette.com/product_i...oducts_id=1428
You'll see the t/s switch installed on this page, just click supporting document.

Thanks for you help though.
Maurice.
The links below will walk you through the entire process. Your going to have a hard time finding that switch... it's discontinued and no longer available.

I removed the cowling OK . I was trying to make out where the break was in the assembly . I'm stumped .
So What are my options ?
Option one is replace the switch .... but there is none available .
What is option two ? Replace with a less troublesome Column 72 or 79 for example . I'm not the first to run into this problem what is the next move normally ?
Was the '77 the only column to have all these functions in the switch ,
if I change to say a 71 will I need to put a separate wiper switch for example ?
The only problem was the turn signal would not latch ,everything else worked .
