I have a 68 corvette convertible and the passenger window is stuck, it wont go up it wont go down I hooked up a battery charger and got it to move just a hair before it froze. Every article Ive read says put the window up to remove the regulator. My problem is I cant move the window its about 1/3 of the way up and its stuck there. Any ideas on how to proceed to remove the regulator and motor so I can either rebuild or replace. I cant line up the holes either just to remove the motor because again its stuck where its at. Any help would be appreciated ... thanks
If you can not get the motor to move the glass. You are in for one heck of a journey.
On the 69-82 corvettes that have a motor that is dead....I have had to go in and CAREFULLY remove the motor so I them could be able to manually move the window so I could get it out...then the regulator.
This is NOT going to be easy...by any stretch of the imagination. I have been there.
Make sure it didn't fall out of the track and jam a roller but above advise is spot on. Don't forget the regulator takes a giant 1/4 rivet that holds it in. Take your time and take a lot of picks. If one part isn't in right, it won't work.
