81 temp control

hey guys Im replacing the temp control cable on my 81 can anyone tell me what the name of the part is that the cable attaches to ?

The cable has 2 ends....what end are you referring to????

Sry about that, i have the new part where the temp control lever is that u actually adjust from, then the cable goes to a part on top of 1 of the ducts behind the dash, thats the part i cant figure out

It attaches to the hot/cold door lever on the top of your heater core box.

Thanks, do u know if u can get that separate or is it part of the box

PLEASE do not type in 'TEXT SPEAK' format.

YES...it has to come off because it is a separate part. Remove your glove box liner and see for yourself.
