BKbroiler is right, it should fit with a drop base air cleaner. I ran the air gap with both a Holley and a QJet in a 79.

Agree that the stock pump will provide all the fuel you need too. You should consider a second return line from the carb back to the tank as well. I had what some call vapor issues, from boiling/vaporized gas in the line just prior to the carb inlet. Midwest heat is enough to make modern fuels boil.

Heat shield and return line from carb to tank solved it. I now will not set up a carbureted engine without a return line from the carb (Thanks to Lars on this forum for guidance on my particular issue).

Do some searches on here to look for different solutions to this problem, and you may find something that works for you.
