Fuel filter
I have a 1977 corvette. My question is when I start it up the fuel filter is full of gas and if I let it idle for five min it stays full. If I drive it for 10 miles and then check it the fuel filter is half full. Is this correct or do I have a problem? Thanks

Plastic is better than glass for a filter, we hate seeing corvettes burn up. The gas level in the filter doesn't sound like a problem, probably changes with the under hood temperatures. What carb are you using?

Those carbs are hard to build a steel line to and have a filter inline. If you're interested you can e-mail Lars for his how to papers on making fuel lines,. he may have an opinion on the gas level in your filter.
