Hi b,
The only way to tell for SURE is to disassemble the caliper.
You MAY see a re-manufacturer's stamped logo, number, or date, on the exterior of the caliper if you examine it carefully.
There was no stamped information on the calipers when new.
The pistons are the same diameter.
Regards,
Alan
Any way to tell if the calipers have ss sleeves without disassembly?
Are pistons the same diameter - sleeved and un sleeved?
Thanks
The pistons are the same diameter. The old calipers are bored out to fit the new SS sleeves which are pressed in. I know of no way of determining if calipers have SS sleeves other than the company doing the sleeving stamping their calipers. I believe Vette Brakes, for example, stamps theirs with VB for warranty purposes, I suspose.
