Ok. I have simplified my car through out by removing cruise, power mirrows, locks, rear defrost, windows etc etc. I am now faced with the wiper situation. I want a wiper motor that has no washer pump, delay or multiple speeds.Does anyone here know of a motor that would work from a different year chevy product? I know there's s sounds wierd but I just want a bare bones vette for handling business at the track or wherever the need arises. Thanks ahead for anyone that has an idea of what i might use.
The 75 & up vettes had electric washer pumps, the wiper motor was basically just a flat plastic cover on the front. I would expect that it would work for what your talking about if you took an earlier one (75?) The delay etc should be on the control I think.

Im looking for something simple. I have done away with the wiring for the wiper circuit. Im looking for a simple one or two wire configuration on the fire wall and relay and such on the inside. This car had major electrical issues so that pushed me over the edge on just eliminating all the frills. Works good for me, lightens the car and simplifies things. Eventually I will just get a basic 16 circuit painless kit and rewire the entire car.

77 and prior had 2-speed wipers with no delay. The washer function was an electrical 'add on'. If you need to sort out what you are looking for, Willcox (a Forum supporting vendor) has a whole series of videos on repairing and diagnosing problems with the various generations of C3 wiper motors and you may find your answer there.
Hi f,
Here's the connection between the wiper motor and the wiper arm mechanism.
If you ran a rod the other direction (into the interior) you could move it by hand and eliminate the wiper motor completely.

Alan

Just kidding!
Alan, that's a great idea, in fact I would just connect it to the steering column, then whenever I move the steering wheel the wipers will function.lol. Na. I just want to really simplify the car. Sorda like ordering an ole chevelle with copo and radio delete no heat no air roll up windows and a big block four speed and a bench seat. The car Is so far from stock that there's no hope or point into correcting it. My view it will lighten the car and with all this done theirs really nothing electrical to quit on me. All the options on this car is gone with the exception of this complicated wiper motor all I want is to hit the switch and they work. I have a good mind to remove them all together and have a bottle of rainex in the dash.lol
The wiring and operation of a wiper motor is quite simple...especially when you are NOT dealing with a delay wiper system.
Once you understand that all GM did was to apply and remove GROUND to the terminals is what made it go form PARK to LOW to HIGH. Because the 12 volt power source is a given and there all the time.
AND I have repaired so many bad wiper motors due to someone putting the ground wire that normally goes on the starter or bellhousing bolt is attached to the 12 colt battery connection on the starter solenoid.
What year is you Corvette...you did not say and I do not go by peoples avatars.
Have you 'bench tested your wiper motor and see if it works...because I have also repaired many that were not bad...but rather the contacts were dirty due to NEVER being used and dust/dirt got on them and made it so it would not cycle.

Use your existing motor and wire it this way to a three way switch and you should be set...
You could pipe into the wiper switch too.. your choice there.

Now that's what I'm after. So if I use factory switch pins 123 on motor would go to what pins on factory switch and what would go to constant ground or constant hot? I can do pretty much anything but wiring screws with my head.lol
C would be your high and low speed ground, D would be your high speed ground.
The motor is hot all the time (number 2 on the 123 connector) waiting for ground. On this motor park happens when both grounds are removed.
The motor is a two field motor so to achieve low speed you need two grounds, 1 and 3 on the motor, to achieve low speed.. and only one 3 to achieve high. With both grounds removed you'll park. Watch the video, it'll help you understand how the motor works.
