Default Distributor question

Hi, I picked up a 1978 corvette L82, engine # V0608TXD. Wrong engine, I know. Dist. # 1103282 9A4. The engine has a competition cam, # 12-205-2. Grind # cs 252H-10. headers and a 700 (4778) 4150 Holley. I want to replace the dist. its totaled. What would be a good up grade. Thanks

Your 78 Vette came with an HEI distributor, either a MSD HEI, Pertronix Flamethrower HEI, Accel HEI, or the Davis Unified HEI would be good choices. The MSD " Street Fire " isnt that great but, the Pro Billet is a nice piece with high performance electronics. Many cheap HEI set-ups are made in China....use it if you want to....I wouldn't
