Hi guys, I replaced the wire harness forward of the firewall on my 73. The right side bundle has a 15" red wire that looks like 10 gauge with a connector on it. It is constant hot, so I wrapped it with elec tape. I am not sure what it is supposed to connect to. I am considering using it for the MSD system. As always, thanks the help, this forum is is great.

The Assembly manual, and Service book make me think it connects to the horn relay.
This fairly heavy gage red wire with eye connector comes right out of the fuse block on the firewall. Hoping to get more confirmation before I connect it to the horn relay. Thanks!
Hi F,
Yes it comes out through a grommet in the firewall and connects to a horn relay terminal.
You need to check your AIM to be sure which terminal is correct. The relay varies just a bit from year to year.
You can just see it coming up from below, (behind the brake line), and connecting to the outer terminal in 71.

Alan
