1972 fuel tank replacement
I have a leak from a bad previous weld repair that was done on my original tank.
It's showing rust pitting inside along the bottom edge as well.
So time to get a new one.
So, what / where are the best tanks to buy?
I've c'n 18 - 20 - 24 gallon sizes advised, I thought it was a 18gallon that was std?
Can you buy a larger capacity size? That would be handy for long trips.

I bought mine from Quanta: http://www.gastanks.com/Corvette/products/19/. I recall they advertized higher capacity than stock but after install i found it exactly the same for my '74.
If u want more capacity it will have to be custom.

The dimensions for the tank are listed at the link rrau furnished.
I think Spectra is in Canada.
I may be mistaken but I believe they're the manufacturer of the tanks Quanta sells.

does anyone make a larger capacity tank for a '72 coupe?
i've just got back from a 3000+km(1860mile) trip,
and stopping every 400km(250mile) to fill up gets a bit old after a while...

The eBay tank has a capacity of 91 litres which equates to 24 US GALLONS. A REAL gallon is equal to 1.2 US gallon. So 91 litres would equate to a 20 gallon tank.

looks like it dosen't have the nipples on both sides anyway, which i need. mine was a CA issue car.
there's a supplier down here that has a tank for 360$au + 50$ postage, think i'll go for that.
