Default '68 Throttle Cable

What are you guys doing to make the '68 throttle cable work with a Holly? I found out the hard way tonight mine was bubba'ed. The cable was glued to the grommet; when the engine got warm enough, the glue let go and I had no throttle to get home. I had to wedge a screw I found inside the glove box into the grommet to hold it long enough to get home on a very light foot. I'd like to do it up right and never have to worry about it again.

Will this fit the OEM '68 cable that has the tube over it. This is for the Morse cables.

Just put one on last week. It wasn't getting all WOT
but the correct bracket fixed that.

Here ya go. You will need the little bolt and the clamp also.

John,

It doesn't show in the photo, but does it come with the clamp and bolt (8 and 9)?

I wish I could use something like this. I bet a guy could drill out the hole larger if needed. I just wish I could find the size of the hole before purchase.
