What is this wire?

Default What is this wire?

Goes up into the harness above the steering column.
Is it just a dash ground? Larger brown onnected to short black

72.4 spd

I think that goes to the center gauge cluster. Top light that aims down on to the ash tray and shifter.

Knowing the year would help...but looks like it goes to a missing capacitor for radio noise suppression.

Theres a light?....interior was stripped...so, where is this light?
Have a pic? I have the center console here, but see no light..

I believe all 74-77's have a center down facing light on the center gauge cluster.

And YES...always state your year model every time you post a question.....it does help. Just 'saying'.

This wire is not for any light....this wire is at the base of the steering column.
