Default '72 lt1

I'm having an issue with my fully restored '72 LT1 coupe. It runs and drives great expect for a "flat spot" when starting from idle and accelerating (first gear). It seems to be fuel starved and then catches up and takes off.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It sounds like a weak accelerator pump.

I have replaced the accelerator pump which did not resolve the issue. Perhaps I need to swap out the original pump for a high volume one.

Without engine running look down Carb when pumping throttle to see if plenty of fuel is coming out
Also check timing for advance operation
Good luck

Did you make sure the accelerator pump arm is properly adjusted? That can make a world of difference and it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time to do. If you're not sure how, do a search for it on Youtube. You don't need to go to the 50 cc pump unless you've really modded your engine.
