Hi Gang. Both my driver and passenger side door rear-view mirrors move from their set position any time I open or close the doors - super annoying. The chrome is in great shape, so I'd rather not replace them if I don't have to. Any tricks to increase the friction of the mirror on the pivot ball (i.e. some kind of spray?). Thanks.

Coat the ball with blue LocTite and swivel the mirror around to smear the LocTite onto the ball. Then quickly set the mirror to your liking and allow the LocTite to cure.
Hi
I kinda did what this guy did. Result was great. Mirrors are now nice and firm.

My 2 cents, I did the same thing the poster above did, but I used a little GOOP around the ball, not too much, just enough to get a film on the outside of the ball. Then set the mirror where you want it and hop out the opposite door.
I like GOOP better because you can always pull it off or pick it off if you need to. It cures sorta of rubbery and so you can remove it if you need to as opposed to a permanent glue.
