I have the original keys with my 69 coupe, but the car was missing the spare tire lock and cover. Question is, was the round head key for the doors keyed alike to the spare tire lock or did the spare tire lock have a separate key?
my 69, which I have owned since 73, uses a square head key for the ignition and door locks. The oval key is for the locking compartment behind the seats and the spare tire lock.

Ahh yes, I remember now. I wonder if there is any way to buy a tire lock keyed to my key? Otherwise it's silly to buy a new lock and cover unless it might help in judging.

I believe there are lock/key people who can re-key your new lock so you can use your existing key.

Alan you are correct I had a lock with no key and was able to get it rekeyed $20.00.
