My oil pressure gage is pinned right and my voltmeter does not respond plus GEN light is on.
All fuses checked ok: voltage at alternator 14.6 volts at all terminals. Exciter wire (brn) has 14.6 volts before fuse block. 14.6 volts at battery with care running. Changed oil pressure sending unit to no avail.
Any suggestions.

I would suggest taking the instrument panel out that has these gages in it.....I just did that on my '79 due to fixing the clock (and took out the L/H panel out as well to fix the tach & left turn signal light bulb in the panel....) I found the problem w/ the left turn signal bulb (thought the bulb was burned out, but it wasn't) was some slight CORROSION on the printed electrical circuit that powers all the bulbs & gages BE CAREFUL, AS THE CIRCUITRY ON THE PLASTIC THAT IT'S EMBEDDED IN IS FRAGILE, YOU CAN TEAR OR RIP IT EASILY!!...so I cleaned ALL the bulb connections, and ALL works now!! I fixed the clock by using the info shown on a video here on the site...and it's tickin' strong!!
Thanks. Will try that. I did change the gauge PCB awhile ago and everything worked fine after that. I do have a resistance thru the positive cable to the brown wire at the alternator. 561 ohms with ignition off and 33 ohms with ignition on. Maybe there is a problem with the ignition switch. But I will keep eliminating things. Was hoping it was something simple but then that would probably be like winning a lottery.
Thanks again I'll let you know what I find as I go.
