I have started reinstalling the chrome and stainless steel header pieces that are part of the halo surround. I have a few questions about it.
1. The original screws that I removed from the corner header moldings were mostly reusable, however it has been quite a while since I had removed the pieces and...Iv'e slept a few times since then. I still have the screws with the countersunk heads that go in from the back side and the black screws that go in from the windshield side. When I look at the screw kit that some of the vendors sell, there are 4 screws with machine threads shown (2 per side). Do these go into the ends of the corner moldings? Because I only have a spot to put one screw there and being a machine screw thread, I figured it would have been installed somewhere besides through the side of the windshield frame like a common sheetmetal screw.
2. The areas where the stainless t-trim meets the corner moldings. When I removed the pieces originally, I noticed there was a yellowish sealer there where the flat surfaces overlap. I have the gray strip caulk and the black 3M windo-weld to use, but this looked like it more resembled the yellow weatherstripping adhesive. What should be used in that area?
So those machine screws that come with the screw kit for the corner header molding is actually for the piece on the rear of the t-top? I thought at least one of the screws would have went into the end of the corner header molding?
I think we may not be talking about the same area. I am tlking about the chomed molding that sits over the A-pillar and windshield. I have not been abled to determine where the machine screws for that piece go.

Hi Scott,
Well after 2 tries I wasn't even close.
Sorry!
Regards,
Alan
Well, I may have mistakenly clouded the matter when I included "T-Top" in the question. I thought those pieces were specific to T-Top models. I'm still lookin for an answer. I had already ask the question in a reply to another forum members thread, however the thread was already a couple years old. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1590089714
You had helped him with a similar issue. May bring back some memories. LOL. I'm just not sure where those 2 machine thread screws go.
