Since pictures are in order. I extended the boom on my hoist to reach over C3 engine compartments. Before I got around to extending the legs my wife had the job of keeping the hoist from tipping over along with other engine swap duties. Of course it gave her the perfect vantage point to tell me what to do. It's good to have help from a spouse on car projects.
Well, I will repeat last comment from wife about my vette..."I would rater stick a needle in my eye" than ride in that hot, noisy, smelly car
Some women just don't get it, nice yours does
HA! That's my bride. Our 21st Anniversary was today, so I washed the Vette and took her out to a nice dinner in it. She doesn't 'get' the Vette and is not a fan, but she gave me a nice chunk of change to spend on it (to fix up some of the things that bug her, but not me). I'll keep her AND the Vette.
Shortly after I got married I sold my "toys", bought a house and started my family.
The next 2 decades the priority was paying off the mortgage and getting the kids educated so my cars were practical and family oriented.
As I approached 40, I had a real yearning to get a hot set of wheels again.
My wife initially motioned she didn't like the idea of riding in a noisy oil leaking old car.
About a week later, a book she was she reading about marriage relationships stated that at around 40 years of age, married men either take up a mistress or buy a red sports car.
That night she said I could spend as much as I like on a car.
