Default courtesy light door switch question

I am replacing the door switches for the courtesy lights in a 68 convert.
The switch has no electrical terminal on it. Are the "Switch Terminal" sold by Eckler's and others the correct connection to make contact on the door switch in the recessed area in the nylon end cap? RA

Hi r,
The end of the wires should have very small barbed bayonet type clips on them that slip into the nylon base of the switch.
Vendors sell them, often in a set of five or six, that's likely what you're describing you've seen.
Regards,
Alan

Have you checked the end of the old wires to see if possibly the originals are still stuck in that missing end cap? If they are just pull them out clean them and insert them into the new switch.

If not... yes those terminals for sale will work just fine too.

That new switch shaft is considerably longer than the original shown. Be very careful and don't shut the door without making sure you have the right switch and in the right position.
