Other than a dry rotted fuel line (return hose) my first 1000 miles have been trouble free

I'd say you got a good one. So, on the return line, is it the one at the back of the car that connects to the right side of the tank?

Hi mg,
VERY nice looking car in Targa Blue.
The stance is just right to my eye…. not always easy to achieve these days!
Continued pleasure and good luck!
Regards,
Alan

It was a small hose on the side of the tank above the passengers side muffler.

I just replaced the bottom one that goes to the fuel pump. Did you replace the upper one that is the return line? If so, did you do it with the tank in the car?

Bought mine, drove 210 miles home. Then, within 15 miles, the camber rod broke. Checking front wheel bearings, they fell out of the cages as I checked them for repacking. Her rear end growled at me and her control arm bushings were gone. I really should not have made it home.
Made all of those repairs, and many others. I take care of her, and she takes care of me. I enjoy having a project, that I can make adjustments to, and they stay there, as opposed to going back to where the computer thinks they shoul be.

I had it on a lift and was able to drop the exhaust a bit allowing the hose to be replaced without dropping the tank
