Default Help identifying headlight switch

Please take a look at the picture. The headlight switch on the left is for an 82 vette, the one on the right was sent to me. It came in the correct box but what was inside was not for an 82. I'm getting the correct one sent to me free of charge and the company does not want the incorrect switch back. Please help identify the year corvette this switch is for and once I know that, I can sell it cheap I don't need it. I'm in California.
Thanks,

That's for a C4 corvette. The extra terminal is for the headlight motor controller.

I believe it also fits most of the other G.M. cars. I bought an 8 terminal switch just like you did; assuming it would be missing the two nipple vacuum valve for the headlights. All I needed was a new rheostat so I took it off the new switch and put it onto my old switch then I notified the vendor to tell them the switch wouldn't fit the C3's. It might have been the same vendor if you only paid $11.32 and it came from the Los Angeles area.
