Umm...LOL. You do know how to read right? That thing could pull a 3.08 and still be fine.
I only make 370 lb/ft and 200 HP at 2800 with a 3.08 and it does just fine.

OP, Really nice job all around. Engine bay, interior, exterior, paint, it all looks great!

I bet ya are leaving 20 hp on the table with that 750 And I say this because a dyno test was done on a sbc 427 nothing altered at all except carb, started with a 750 and went to 850 and the hp gain was sorta shocking all of 20hp and better torque .

And it was on the climb but as you can see the test stopped at 6200

Of course I can not say that will work with your set up but 750 seams a bit small for that set up your running.

The center grill was the last piece to be found. Once all three metal grills were found all of them were sand blasted and powder coated silver. All pieces were found over time on ebay and vette forums. I really wanted the last C3 bumper with metal and without bumperettes on either end

Thanks for the info. Nice to know that a bolt on part could make that much difference. My engine builder chose the carb and I was happy with the dyno results. I did not have multiple carbs to try on dyno day.

BTW - I am in upstate NY near Saratoga. I went right by you on my way home from South Dakota when I was driving the car home about 2 weeks ago.

Having trouble finding anyone to tune this carb in my area. Does not like to idle below 2000. Any suggestions?

Thanks - you are right. There is torque on demand. Having fun learning how to drive this thing.

Thanks - the goal was to get rid of the seams, bumperettes and add the best C3 parts to one car . It still looks stock and the lines sure are nice.

Up until a few weeks ago this was all theoretical. Now it is in the garage.

I am in Upstate NY, just outside Saratoga. I was in South Dakota 2 weeks ago to pick up my car. That is where the body work and final assembly was done. I drove it 1600 miles to get it home.
