Default measured rod on my 68 =~ 8 3/4 inches

fyi...

I'd buy a new one.... I believe they're "hardened" (belief - so take that for what it's worth).

Thanks for the measurement, 8 3/4", that would be 1 1/2" shorter than the one I have and should be just what I need. I will get one on the way.

Sorry for the delay. Yes, the shorter rod solved the problem and now all the linkage fits as it should. The ebay seller said the linkage was from a 72, but apparently it was not.



Also when I first started this swap I could not find a clear answer on the drive shaft fitment and yoke. With this yoke and a 1310X1330 u-joint the drive shaft bolted right up with no modifications. Also the cross member fits in same location with the correct trans mount. If anyone needs more pictures let me know. Dave
