I make the Corvette look good
No seriously I am a Corvette nut, just can't afford right now to take my present Vette to your guy's level. Someday I'm going to take a Stingray to Merlin's level....well if I win the lottery..... :D
Re: Corvette Guy vs. Guy with Corvette (also Gals) poll (verskel)
I would say that I'm definitely a Corvette Guy. The vette that I have has been in the family since it was new in 79. I've done a lot of work to it myself, and feel that I will always own at least one vette. I will keep this one until I have a child to pass it down to because this one is my baby. :yesnod:
Re: Corvette Guy vs. Guy with Corvette (Captain Morgan)
I ran into one of those guys today. I'm getting into my Vette and some fat slob in a 96 GS goes by see's me wave frownes and looks straight ahead. I had to tell him what an butt he was. :(

Well, If you could see the inside of my garage you'd know that I'm a Corvette Guy and not a snobbish guy with a Vette. I've got tools coming out the wa-zoo(my wife tells me!), and three engines, heads, gaskets, intakes, misc wheels & tires lining the garage---on most days you can't walk thru without knocking something over!
I think one easy way to determine whether someone is a Corvette Guy or Guy with a Corvette is to ask them their definition of shopping:
Corvette Guy: A visit to the local parts/tool store for no apparant reason---just to check the socket sets. Surfing on-line & thru vendor catalogs searching, hoping & dreaming about the next mod!
Guy with a Vette: A necessary visit to the mall & jewlery store for that "just-right" chick magnet top & gold chain.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong and my wife will tell me when that is!

tff, when I got married (17 yrs. ago) my father gave me a card which told me the 3 basic words to ensure marital bliss, "You're right dear" who knew how true that would become. :yesnod:
I met a friend of a friend who has thrown 7 times the amount of money (not kidding :nonod: ) at his '73 as I have and he said the following nuggets:
1. I don't like the new style after 1980.
2. The only C4s I like are the ZR1s and the Rallys ( Grand Sports)
3. The 1968 was a beautiful car but it was a piece of poopie - nobody wanted them.
