All parts from Chris.
Talked to an experienced enginebuilder and he said that bad lifters are very common.
Dont know were else to look if its not a lifter.
Sound is like a valve having to large gap between rocker and valve stem. Will try to get a video of it later.
Could be many things , and lifters being bad are not common. ( IMOP)

But my concern is your getting noisy as it warms up and that says clearance issue on something .

So if you can record the ticking or noise it would be a big help

That sure sounds like the valve train. And its loud as hell.

That is a hydraulic roller ?

How are you finding zero lash before you adjust the rockers ?

I would personally pull the easiest valve cover

I would start the motor and with it running adjust one set of noisy lifters.

Many will complain at this suggestion or say dont do it.. BUT I recommend it because your new to this and it will be a way to know easily and quickly if your adjustments are wrong.

So :
Pull valve cover start motor and go to loudest set of valves. Use aluminum foil or a rag to stop oil from spitting everywhere.

Slowly back off the adjustment nut until you here it clicking loudly. IT will take very little backing off to get a clicking noise.

Now slowly tighten until that clicking goes away STOP your at zero lash.. Now 1/4 turn at a time set the lash based on Straubs suggestion 1 or 1.5 turns .. DO THIS SLOWLY because the motor may want to stall as it recovers from each 1/4 turn.

Do this to the other valve in that cylinder and move down the head adjusting all 8 that way. If it eliminates the clicking do the other side of the motor .

Yes, its a hydraulic roller, straub cam.
I have set it to one full turn according to Chris recommendation.
Zero lash with warm Engine, backed of untill i could move pushrod freely and then tighten according to recommendation.
Have reset it twice, without luck....i am going to replace lifter 1 and 8.
Allready changed out 4 and 6.
Knocking is on passenger side.
If it does not go away, i dont know what to do next......

OK guys, would appreciate your chip in on this matter!!
I am lost if its not a lifter issue.

I told you , as did motor head ,, Adjust them with the motor running .. That is fool proof and easy . And will eliminate adjustment as as issue.

fool proof as it gets
better to clean up a little oil mess than keep doing what youre doing

Sometimes spinning the pushrod gets it sometimes you gotta look for up/down play. Plus knowing if youre in the right position to set them

Doing this running eliminates all the guesswork bet they quiet down

What intake and carb are you running?

My internally balanced crank from Crower was way out when GoFast built my engine!

Go with the advice to adjust it with the engine running.
It can be difficult to find the zero lash point because of the springs in the lifters.

I see your engine shakes just as bad as mine does. Maybe it's just a Straub cam thing.

Well...adjust lifters with engine running is not gonna solve this....
Done adjusting, all lifters are fine, exept maybe one...
Talked to Chris and he thinks its something else...makes me worried.
He shall get a second opinion from someone else, lets see what that brings....

The source of my engine knock is found.
Its the piston domes that have very slightly hit the head, nothing is broken.
Some light machining to the heads will fix it.
Cause for this is that i have shaved heads and decked engineblock.
I have Mahle forged pistons with 28cc dome.

So all you guys out there building your own engine, have this in mind so it wont happen to you!

Do you mean the valve to piston issue or the piston is making contact with the head?
